Scarlett Johansson Becomes Woody Allen’s Latest Muse
Before hooking up with the legendary director Woody Allen, Scarlett Johansson had a few misfires with the romantic comedy In Good Company, and Michael Bay’s overblown sci-fi action flick The Island. Though her performance in A Love Song for Bobby Long earned her a third Golden Globe nomination, the film did poorly at the box office. It wasn’t until Woody Allen cast Johansson in his romantic thriller Match Point that the actress reached the same critical acclaim and mass appeal that she achieved with Lost in Translation.
